Truly Exceptional Service! I called John at 10:30 this morning and by Noon he had my drains clear, everything cleaned up and restored to working order. Literally, an hour and a half from the time I first spoke with John to the time the job was complete! How incredible is that?! I talked with him about the issue I was having (waste water backing up into tubs) and he determined he could work it in between jobs since he was nearby. Will certainly recommend every chance I get!

John is the best I have ever worked with: he’s very thorough he’s always going to give you the very best option. John is very smart if he doesn’t have an answer he will figure it out. His prices are unbeatable, the honesty the thoroughness I would be willing to pay almost double for his services!! John has done work for me at my home rental home and the retail business I run . Shiver has been the absolute best for our needs. John has always helped us out in a timely, and cost-effective manner. We’ve gotten quotes from other companies in the area, and Shiver has always undercut them in terms of pricing, and over-delivered in quality and speed. I’m not planning on using anyone else, as long as he’s around!

So John installed all of our products I am showing you a little over a year ago. We bought our house Sept 6 of 2016. It was built in 2005 as a spec house in a historic neighborhood. As with a lot of spec homes what looks good on the surface is not always what lies below. John fixed what was wrong with our home to make it livable for us. I am ;posting this today because I needed help with changing the 5 stage water filtration system cartridges, he came same day & helped me out. THAT IS SERVICE!!!

I highly recommend John! He was quick to schedule with me and he was at my house exactly when he said he’d be (which I really appreciate, I have had 5 local highly-rated repair people flake or cancel last minute, and it was super frustrating, this was not the case with John at all). He took care of the clog in my bathroom sink and even offered to replace the pipes below the sink with PVC, which will last longer. He had all of the replacement parts already and completed the replacement the same day! He was very friendly and gave me additional information for how to properly care for the pipes and drains in my older house to prevent issues in the future.

He came out quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it right away. Very pleased with his work and a fair price too. I will call him again for any other plumbing issues.

I recommend John highly. He has been my plumber for years. Always pleasant to talk to, explains the procedures clearly, gets there quickly, keeps house clean and charges a fair price. Big thumbs up.

John Shiver is still the best plumber I know and now one of the kindest businessmen I’ve ever met! He came prepared to “do battle” with these old pipes but unfortunately I had totally misunderstood and so misinformed him of what the problem was. He didn’t need the extra supplies he had purchased (based on what I’d told him) and then wouldn’t let me pay for them. (I told him I could “save them for the next time ‘cause you KNOW there will be a next time”.) But still he refused a payment. I have to say that John Shiver is more than fair; he is a walking example of the word honorable.

I was expecting a major replacement issue. John took what we had, made some adjustments and totally corrected the problem. He could have easily proposed a much more expensive solution but actually took the time to provide the best solution for us.

Had a couple of small issues with the toilet. While he was here I asked if he’d be willing to replace a seized shower arm for me, which he was able to knock out immediately. Quick, polite, and professional. Will use again.
