John Shiver is still the best plumber I know and now one of the kindest businessmen I’ve ever met! He came prepared to “do battle” with these old pipes but unfortunately I had totally misunderstood and so misinformed him of what the problem was. He didn’t need the extra supplies he had purchased (based on what I’d told him) and then wouldn’t let me pay for them. (I told him I could “save them for the next time ‘cause you KNOW there will be a next time”.) But still he refused a payment. I have to say that John Shiver is more than fair; he is a walking example of the word honorable.
